Red wine "ciambelline" biscuits

The red wine ciambelline have an absolutely delicate and particular taste, adding grains of sugar on the top give the fragrance and crunchiness; it is virtually impossible to resist the red wine ciambelline. Try to put them on the table after lunch with a dessert wine and... Amen! 



• 500g of flour
• 180g of sugar
• 125ml of red wine
• 125ml of extra virgin olive oil
• 1 teaspoon of sambuca
• 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
• a pinch of salt

Preparing the red wine "ciambelline" biscuits is really simple and also very quick, let's begin. Mix together all of the ingredients well: the sugar, red wine, extra virgin olive oil, sambuca, bicarbonate of soda and salt and then let's work the dough until it is smooth, homogeneous  and no longer sticky. To do this make sure you regulate the flour well as too much could ruin  it. At this point let's put the dough to one side for about an hour (but not in the refrigerator). Take the dough and lets make it into little ring shapes, you can decide the size depending on your taste. Take a baking tray and cover it with baking parchment, roll the biscuits in sugar and place them on the tray.

Bake at 180°  for about 25 minutes.

The "ciambelline" can be enjoyed by dipping them in red wine or accompanied by a dessert wine.
