Cream of Vegetable Gnocchetti Sardi

Suddenly, I have friends to dinner and from me they are expecting a lot. How can I make a good dish in such little time? As always, the first rule is having all of the right quality ingredients at home to make everything easier. Today we propose Gnocchetti Sardi with cream of vegetable sauce and, if you like, a few slices of fontina cheese. A really fast and tasty dish to make, served hot and to be enjoyed with a table full of friends.

HOW TO

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 320g Gnocchetti Sardi
  • 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 jar of cream of vegetables
  • 4 thin slices of fontina cheese


    Your friends are already at your house, they are having a quick per-dinner aperitif, the table is already set and your Gnocchetti Sardi will be on the table in 10 minutes, aromatic and steaming hot.


Put the water to boil straight away and while we wait, take our jar of cream of vegetables that we have to hand. Take a pan and put the oil and garlic inside, adding the contents of the jar when the oil is hot. Drain the gnocchi al dente and saving a ladle of its water to mix with the sauce, pour it all together with the gnocchi.

Dishing up the Gnocchetti, put a slice of fontina cheese on top of each plate. In just a few minutes, dinner is served. Nothing left to do but have a laugh with our friends and eat with a good Italian white wine.
