Honey 'Frollini' with prickly pear infused honey are a particular biscuits to taste, great for a snack or breakfast with the children but can also be served as an after dinner treat along side a passito. With milk in the morning or with tea at five in the afternoon, our frollini are the sweet touch to the day...
• 400 g flour 00
• 100 g icing sugar
• 100 g butter
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 egg
• 3 tbsps of prickly pear infused honey
• 1/2 packet of baking powder for desserts
• icing sugar for dusting
Mix together all of the ingredients without kneading the dough too much. Make a big bun and let it sit in the refrigerator for about an hour. At this point take the dough ball and let's make the biscuits choosing whatever shape we fancy! put oven paper on a baking tray and bake at 175 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. As soon as they a cooked we can dust them with sugar. Let them cool and enjoy the biscuits with a good cup of tea.
This type of biscuit can be made as and when with different infused honeys to vary the taste.
